Comedian Adam Carolla is listing his Los Angeles-area home for $8.99 million, according to listing agent Peter Owens of Douglas Elliman.

The five-bedroom, roughly 7,330-square-foot home is located in La Cañada Flintridge, a wealthy suburb roughly 15 miles north of L.A., said Owens.

“The Adam Carolla Show” podcast host bought the property for $7.327 million in 2018 with his then-wife, Lynette Paradise. The couple lived at the house with their twins, Natalia and Santino, but are now in the process of divorcing, Carolla said.

The home, built in 2013, incorporates contemporary and midcentury modern-style design. “It has a nice balance between being a modern architectural home and having a family vibe as well,” said Carolla. The house has two fireplaces, a home theater, a gym and a sauna, Owens said. The roughly 1-acre property, filled with mature oak trees, has an outdoor kitchen and infinity pool. There is also an outdoor sports court and a four-car garage.

“I liked just watching the kids and their friends use the hell out of it, using the swimming pool and watching movies,” Carolla said.

They renovated the home’s theater, kitchen and primary suite, Carolla said. He said he isn’t sure how much the renovations cost.

Carolla started “The Adam Carolla Show” in 2009. He co-hosted the radio and MTV show “Loveline” in the 1990s and early 2000s, and he co-created and starred in the Comedy Central shows “The Man Show” and “Crank Yankers.” He has frequently written for and guest starred on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and appeared on “The Masked Singer” last year.

Luxury inventory in La Cañada Flintridge is low, driving price hikes, according to Owens, who said there are fewer than 10 homes on the market over $5 million. In April, homes in La Cañada Flintridge sold for a median of about $2.31 million, down 7.5% from the same time last year, with 56.3% fewer sales in the same period, according to Redfin.
